03  /  Point of view

GEO is an extension of SEO, not a replacement.

P/01

A practitioner's perspective

I write about SEO from a practitioner and engineering perspective. The work explores how search engines discover, crawl, interpret and rank websites — and how emerging AI systems retrieve, interpret and cite information. Those are related but distinct problems, and conflating them produces bad advice.

P/02

GEO as search visibility strategy

Rather than treating GEO as a replacement for SEO, I approach it as an extension of a broader search visibility strategy — technical accessibility, authoritative content, entities, structured information and brand credibility. Companies that abandon SEO fundamentals to chase AI visibility usually lose both.

P/03

Where marketing meets engineering

A Computer Science and Networks background means I can work on the problems that sit between the two disciplines: rendering, crawlability, indexing, site architecture, performance, redirects, canonicalisation, structured data, migrations and technical implementation. Findings become deployed changes rather than a backlog item.

05  /  Editorial approach

How the writing is sourced.

Based on implementation

Articles come from a combination of hands-on implementation, technical knowledge, experimentation, analysis of search systems, and experience working with real websites — not from summarising other people's posts.

Claims are labelled

Where it matters, articles distinguish between documented information, industry observation, experiment results and personal experience. Those are different levels of evidence and readers deserve to know which one they are getting.

The goal is practical, technically accurate information that marketers, founders, SEO professionals and developers can apply to real websites.

Common questions.

Who is Feres Gharbi?

Feres Gharbi is a Tunisian SEO and web engineering practitioner and the founder of Visory, a growth studio helping HealthTech, healthcare SaaS, medical marketplaces and wellness technology companies grow through organic search, Generative Engine Optimization and high-performance web engineering.

What does Feres Gharbi specialise in?

Technical SEO, information architecture, content strategy, structured data, internal linking, entity optimisation, website performance and Generative Engine Optimization — applied mainly to HealthTech, healthcare SaaS, medical marketplaces and wellness technology companies.

What is Feres Gharbi's background?

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a Master's degree in Networks and Telecommunications, both from the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis, alongside a C1-level IELTS qualification. That engineering grounding is why the SEO work covers rendering, crawlability, migrations and technical implementation rather than content alone.

What is Visory?

Visory is a specialised growth studio focused on HealthTech, healthcare SaaS, medical marketplaces and technology-driven healthcare businesses. It combines SEO, GEO and web engineering to help healthcare technology companies build digital assets that are technically sound, discoverable, authoritative and capable of generating sustainable organic growth.

What results has Feres Gharbi produced?

One recent HealthTech engagement grew from approximately 5,000 to 65,000 monthly users over a five-month period, combining organic growth strategy with improvements to the website and its search visibility. Google Search Console recorded 499,000 organic clicks and 12.7 million impressions across the engagement, with no paid advertising.

How does Feres Gharbi approach GEO?

As an extension of search visibility strategy rather than a replacement for SEO. The work covers technical accessibility, authoritative content, entities, structured information and brand credibility, so content can be retrieved and cited by AI systems while traditional search fundamentals stay intact.

What languages does Feres Gharbi work in?

Arabic is my native language, and I work in English and French as well — with a C1-level IELTS qualification in English. That combination matters for francophone and Arabic-speaking markets: recent engagements include a healthcare directory in francophone MENA and condition-led medical SEO for French-speaking Switzerland.

What technologies does Feres Gharbi work with?

Astro, Strapi, WordPress, Shopify, JavaScript-based websites and headless CMS architectures, plus DNS, hosting and website infrastructure. That covers the problems sitting between marketing and engineering: rendering, indexing, redirects, canonicalisation, migrations and structured data.
